Hi! We’re in the middle of renovating our hundred year old house. If you want to see how the house looked when we bought it, here’s house tour part 1 and part 2. This is what we have achieved with the kids’ bedroom transformation over the past 12 months. See part 1 and part 2 to see the bedroom renovation in progress.
I don’t know about you, but I love a good before and after – especially if there is a dramatic difference.
Here it is!
That dusty lacy lampshade still gives me the shivers. Anyway…
Let’s start the bedroom tour!
I love our giraffe lamp, it really finishes off the room. It’s fun and quirky without being too babyish. Beside it is a Noah’s Ark from Zambia, my Dad was over there a few years ago and brought it back for DJ.
EJ’s corner, with her quilt and her pink stool that Mr P made for her.
This is soon to be LJ’s cot! We’ll see how it goes with the three of them sharing for a wee while anyway. The other upstairs bedroom is currently empty and the wallpaper is half stripped off…
EJ loves her new bed (when she actually finds a space for herself amongst all the dolls and teddies!)
It was such a great feeling when this room was finished. Part 1 and Part 2 show how far we came from dusty peely florals to fresh and clean geometrics. (Don’t get me wrong, I love florals in smaller doses!) As the first room renovated in the house, it gave us a taste of what the rest could be like when it’s all “done” – whenever that might be!
